About Us

Lacrosse at Ole Miss is a club sport, which means we do not offer scholarships nor do we recruit in a formal way like an NCAA sports program. Rather, we’re part of the MCLA or Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association along with other Division I SELC men’s lacrosse programs, and we follow the same rules governing the game as the NCAA. The biggest difference is with the administration and financing of MCLA lacrosse programs. All teams are organized as student clubs, which means there are player dues and student-athletes serving in positions of leadership and responsibility. These student officers are heavily involved in making a variety of arrangements and decisions related to equipment purchases, transportation, scheduling games and so forth.
